Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking an Apprentice Stationary Engineer to support the operation, maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems in South San Francisco, CA. You will assist with boilers, chillers, pumps, valves, electrical systems and building automation to ensure safe, energy-efficient operations for tenants.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, IUOE Local 39 aptitude, and knowledge of HVAC, boilers and blueprints.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Register online, complete in-person verification, and pass an aptitude exam (72%) with IUOE Local 39.
Knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building automation.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to work in mechanical rooms, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds.
Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance.
CCPS/CMMS knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of boilers, chillers, pumps, valves and related lines.
Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of refrigerant systems and air handling equipment.
Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of pumps, piping, and water distribution systems.
Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of electrical motors and control systems.
Assist with life safety equipment maintenance and testing.
Assist with inventory control for parts and materials.
