SOME (So Others Might Eat) seeks an Apprentice/Service Technician I for its Facilities Management department in Washington, DC. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance across SOME-owned facilities, performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and roofing tasks to keep buildings safe and functional. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm with occasional on-call duties.
Travel to sites uses own vehicle; mileage is reimbursed. Must have CET training and a valid license.

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is seeking an Apprentice/Service Technician I for the Facilities Management department.
We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The hourly range for this position is $21.46 to $22.73 and is commensurate with experience.
The Apprentice/Service Technician I, under the direction and guidance of the Service Technician III, will perform preventive and corrective maintenance at SOME-owned facilities.
Required: Graduate of SOME's CET (or similar) Building Maintenance Service Technician Training; Travel to work sites using your own transportation. (Mileage will be reimbursed)
Preferred: High School diploma or GED
Required License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a vehicle and a valid Driver's License, and personal car liability insurance coverage. This is a contingency of employment. The vehicle should be safe and reliable. (Mileage will be reimbursed)
Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (40 hours per week); On-Call responsibilities twice per quarter are required.
Facilities Manager
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, stretch, walk, climb, sit, type on a keyboard, and lift to 75 pounds with the assistance of a dolly or staff. Must be able to climb step ladders 14 feet in height. Must be able to climb extension ladder and scaffolds up to 50 feet in height. All duties were performed with a door without reasonable accommodations. Travel to work sites using your own transportation methods. Utilize your own tools for work projects and transport tools to the work site.
Uniform provided. Safety equipment must be utilized, including safety glasses, gloves, and other protective garments as necessary. Proper footwear, including steel-toed shoes. Employees must possess and use their own basic tools to perform job duties
