Job summary

Lute Riley Honda in Plano, TX is hiring an Apprentice Service Technician. This entry-level role requires graduation from an automotive technician training school. You will work under a Master Technician, performing vehicle repair and maintenance as directed by your team lead.

You will attend factory-sponsored training, learn to diagnose malfunctions, and assist with repairs, while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1-2 years of dealership apprentice technician experience.
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Honda/Acura (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.

Responsibilities

• The apprentice technician is assigned a 'Mentor' usually a Master Technician to assist him/her in acclimating to dealership operations in addition to sharing the Mentors technical knowledge.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Call upon your Mentor, Team Leader or Shop Foreman when you have a question or need assistance.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional service work is recommended.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Other duties as assigned.
