Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd is hiring a part-time Fish Cutter in Hawai`i. Pay starts at $18.37 per hour with relocation assistance not provided and on-island consideration only.

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred; candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities in our seafood department.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 75 pounds.
• Must pass apprentice/training program (applies to apprentice only)
• Must have TB Clearance
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers.
• Receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products.
• Proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste.
• Attend the service case.
• Assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products.
• Help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items.
• Fish cutters work with equipment like wrapping machines and knives.
