COMPENSATION

Pay is based on plumbing experience, apprenticeship progress, licensing level, skill, productivity, workmanship, and overall performance.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN APPRENTICE PLUMBER:

You will work alongside experienced plumbers on residential and light commercial plumbing projects throughout the Treasure Valley. Your responsibilities and training may include:

• Assisting with residential and commercial plumbing installations


• Helping diagnose, repair, replace, and maintain plumbing systems


• Installing water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, and plumbing equipment


• Assisting with water treatment and filtration systems


• Installing water, waste, and vent piping


• Supporting remodel, replacement, sewer, and water-line projects


• Learning to read job scopes, estimates, plans, and installation instructions


• Loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials


• Safely operating hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment


• Protecting customers' homes and property


• Maintaining clean, safe, and professional jobsites


• Keeping tools, materials, and company vehicles organized


• Communicating professionally with customers and coworkers


• Documenting completed work and job progress


• Following company procedures and safety standards


• Learning plumbing codes and proper installation practices


• Completing apprenticeship classroom and licensing requirements


• Developing the technical and customer-service skills needed to become a successful professional plumber

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:

• Current Idaho Apprentice Plumbing License or ability to obtain one


• Enrollment in - or willingness to enroll in - a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program


• Plumbing, construction, mechanical, industrial, maintenance, or related trade experience


• Experience using hand tools and power tools


• Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills


• Valid driver's license


• Acceptable driving record


• Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds or more


• Ability to perform the physical requirements of plumbing work


• Consistent and dependable work history


• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members

Do not check every box? Previous plumbing experience is helpful but may not be required for an exceptional candidate with strong mechanical ability, a great attitude, and a serious desire to build a plumbing career.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, with schedules generally beginning around 8:00 AM.
