Job summary

Studs is hiring Apprentices to join a six-week paid training program for becoming an Associate Piercer at our Ponce studio. Trainees start at $18/hour plus tips during training, then advance to $24/hour plus tips as Associate Piercers upon graduation.

The role requires availability up to five days per week, including weekends and holidays. After completing the program, graduates may move to part-time or full-time positions in a fast-paced, safety‑driven studio environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• At least two years as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (performing venipunctures and/or finger sticks) preferred.
• Full Time: Must be available to work a flexible schedule up to 5 days per week (32+ hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must maintain consistent availability.
• Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) is required, excluding approved PTO.
• Parts Time: Must be available to work a flexible schedule of varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pierce a minimum 18 appointments a day.
• Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings.
• Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand.
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
• Must be able to handle chemicals safely.
• Travel to one of our studios for the duration of the training program (paid by Studs)

Responsibilities

• Educates clients on Studs’ experience through the selling cycle.
• Delivers clear, professional communication with clients during their Studs’ experience.
• Leads with integrity and adheres to piercing operating procedures and safety standards.
• Keeps detailed records of maintenance, sterilized inventory and tools.
• Embodies a solution-oriented mindset and upholds Studs’ core values.
