Job summary

Pro-Spec Painting Corporation in Vineland, NJ is recruiting for a Registered Apprenticeship program in commercial/industrial painting. The 3-year program provides 6,000 hours of paid on-the-job training plus 140 hours of classroom instruction per year, culminating in a Journeyman Painter credential.

You will work on active construction sites, learn to read blueprints, prepare surfaces, mix coatings, and safely use scaffolding and lifts, with wages progressing through the program from $18.00/hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Local to South Jersey with a daily commute to job sites in the region (Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester, Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Burlington counties).

Responsibilities

• Work on interior and exterior painting of commercial and industrial structures.
• Read blueprints and examine surfaces to determine the scope of work.
• Prepare surfaces: scraping, sanding, patching, priming.
• Mix coatings to match specifications.
• Build and use scaffolding, ladders, and lifts safely.
• Learn to calculate material quantities and labor costs.
• Follow all health and safety procedures without exception.
