Warby Parker is opening a new Prairie Village location and seeks an Apprentice Optician to grow into a licensed role. You’ll learn from a mentor who is a licensed optician, mastering measurements, fitting, and ensuring eyewear meets standards and customer requests.

You’ll explain prescription terms, assist customers in selecting frames and lenses by considering prescription, face fit, and personal style, while contributing to a culture that values service and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Interest in a medical-oriented role to help people see.
• Strong customer-service mindset and rapport with customers.
• Eagerness to learn optical terminology and product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor to learn how to meet eyewear needs.
• Learn to take and record measurements accurately.
• Learn to adjust and fit eyewear with precision.
• Learn to check eyewear against optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology to customers.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, face fit, and lifestyle.
• Collaborate with the team to establish best practices for sales and service.
