Responsibilities include fabricating parts, welding repairs with certification, and maintaining work orders/logs. CDL is required within six months; occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifikationen

• No formal education required.
• Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent paid experience as an automotive mechanic servicing either gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles or equipment.
• Substitutions: approved vocational school program may substitute for two years of experience.

• Performs major overhaul of gasoline and diesel-powered automotive and highway equipment.
• Maintains and repairs diesel-powered engines and components.
• Repairs hydraulic systems and performs preventative maintenance inspections on heavy equipment.
• With welding certification, repairs highway maintenance vehicles and equipment using welding equipment.
• Maintains records of work orders, parts inventory, and repairs.
• Travel may be required; a valid driver’s license is required.
• CDL will be required within six months of employment.
