Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a diesel truck technician to perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, and repair diesel refuse trucks to keep our fleet safe and reliable.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and PTO components, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure readiness for daily operation. Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour with two shift options (4am-2pm or 8:30am-6pm, Monday–Friday).

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs on diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Experience with preventive maintenance to keep fleet ready for daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 2 options. Expect 9hr+ working shifts. Overtime over 40hrs.

1)4am-2pm M-F.
