Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician in New Brighton, MN to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, HVAC, and automation systems. This hands-on role offers training, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement in a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and a desire to continue learning.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, conveyors or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Exposure to PLCs, automation systems, robotics, or controls is beneficial but not required.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and equipment reliability principles.
  • Experience using maintenance software or CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, HVAC systems, automation equipment, and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair injection molding machines and supporting production equipment.
  • Service pumps, air compressors, chillers, rooftop HVAC units, and related facility equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power systems.
  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting and automation equipment maintenance, including robotics and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable equipment performance.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and document work performed.
  • Support equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair work.
  • Accurately document repairs, preventative maintenance activities, and work orders in the maintenance management system.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and all plant safety requirements.
  • Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance.

Qualifications
Preferred Experience
  • Mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, facilities, or technical environment.

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, machinery, or facility systems.

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills with a desire to continue learning.

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, conveyors, or similar equipment is a plus.

  • Exposure to PLCs, automation systems, robotics, or controls is beneficial but not required.

  • Understanding of preventative maintenance practices and equipment reliability principles.

  • Experience using maintenance software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
