Job summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina is seeking Apprentice Linemen for Electric Distribution Operations in North, SC. The position assists with construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground lines on our distribution system.

Applicants will undergo a four-year apprenticeship, with training that blends hands-on field work and classroom instruction, while developing safety practices and technical skills for utility operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of DESC 4-year apprenticeship training program required.

Responsibilities

• Regularly climb and work from utility poles and other tall structures.
• Safely handle heavy/bulky equipment and materials.
• Be available to respond to callouts and urgent needs 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
• Work outside in inclement weather conditions.
• Adhere to safety rules near high and low voltage equipment.
• Complete the four-year apprenticeship training program with written and hands-on instruction.
