Job summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina has an opening for an Apprentice Lineman for Electric Distribution Operations in the Blythewood, SC area. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The selected candidate will assist with the construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electric lines on our distribution system, regularly climb poles, handle heavy equipment, respond to callouts 24/7, and

Qualifications

• Climb and work from utility poles or tall structures.
• Commitment to safety rules around high and low voltage equipment.
• Demonstrated mechanical skills and physical ability for heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electric lines.
• Regularly climb poles and work from tall structures.
• Be available for callouts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Complete the four-year apprenticeship training program with written and hands-on components.
