Job summary

Dominion Energy South Carolina has multiple openings for Apprentice Linemen for Electric Distribution Operations in North, SC. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The selected candidate will assist with the construction, operation and maintenance of overhead and underground electric lines on our distribution system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain CDL-Class A within six months of hire.
• Ability to climb and work from utility poles.
• Ability to work outdoors and overtime/callouts.
• Live within 20 miles of the service territory.

Responsibilities

• Regularly climb and work from utility poles.
• Safely handle heavy equipment and materials.
• Respond to callouts and urgent needs 24/7.
• Work outside in inclement weather.
• Adhere to safety rules near high/low voltage equipment.
• Complete the four-year apprenticeship training program.
