Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Apprentice A Lineman (APA) for entry-level line work to build and repair overhead distribution systems. You will travel to various job sites and report to the Foreman, performing live-line work with proper PPE and safety practices.

The role requires climbing, working at heights, and operating overhead line equipment in diverse conditions. You must be willing to work outages, storms, and on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant field experience.
• Valid CDL license.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, near energized equipment.
• Operate buckets, digger derricks, tensioners, and pullers.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and during outages or storms.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques; troubleshoot faults.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols to isolate potential differences.
