Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an Apprentice Lineman B to begin a career in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems. You will support the crew and report to the Foreman while performing physically demanding outdoor work.

You will travel as needed, work out-of-town assignments, and participate in on-call rotations for outages and emergencies. The role emphasizes safety and PPE usage in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing, maintaining and repairing overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Participate in on-call rotation for outages and emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE usage.
• Inspect PPE and understand when to wear it.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
