Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. seeks a full-time Apprentice Lineman to work in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa as needed. You will learn the power line construction trade from an industry leader and assist with construction, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission and distribution lines.

You will erect, frame, climb and replace poles and operate aerial trucks and related equipment. Travel is required; DOT physicals/drug tests and MVR checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Six months' recent experience or education with power line construction, transmission/distribution.
• Ability to obtain Class A or B CDL license.
• Ability to read construction documents.
• Willingness to pass DOT physicals and drug tests for employment.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment DOT drug test and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission and distribution lines.
