Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, a NASDAQ-listed group, is seeking a full-time Journeyman Lineman Foreman to support Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas projects.

The role covers construction, installation, maintenance and repair of electric transmission and distribution lines, with travel required. You will mentor apprentices, train crews on safety and job procedures, and ensure compliance with safety policies while supervising the field team.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Lineman program completed or documented journeyman status via verifiable experience
• 5 years’ recent experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction
• Supervisory experience
• Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain
• Ability to read construction documents
• Pass DOT physical/drug tests; pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR check

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, maintain and repair electric transmission and distribution lines
• Mentor and train Helpers/Apprentices on safety and on-the-job practices
• Train in electrical distribution and transmission line construction, transformers, line switching, clearance procedures and grounding
• Ensure compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Travel as required

Job Summary

• Construction, installation, maintenance and repair of electric transmission and distribution lines
• Works with, mentors and provides Helper/Apprentices with safety and on the job training
• Knowledgeable of and ability to train in electrical distribution and transmission line construction, electrical apparatus such as single phase transformers, three phase transformer banks, voltage testing, rotation, and regulators, and line switching, clearance procedures and grounding
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Travel required

Qualifications

• Successful completion of accredited Journeyman Lineman program or considered a documented Journeyman Lineman through verifiable experience
• 5 years’ recent experience working in transmission and/or distribution line construction
• Supervisory experience
• Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain
• Ability to read construction documents
• Successfully pass DOT physicals/drug tests as required
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, background check, and MVR check
