IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in the United States seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support oversight of Substations, Transmission, and Distribution projects.

You will help develop budgets, manage schedules, coordinate with management and site supervision, and ensure subcontractor performance aligns with scope and budget. Qualifications include a college degree in Construction Management or Engineering or at least 2 years in construction project management.

Qualifications

• College degree in Construction Management or Engineering OR minimum 2 years experience in Construction Project Management position.
• Knowledge of substations, transmission line work, or distribution work preferred.
• Knowledge of utility line and substation safety.
• Proficient computer skills, experience utilizing MS Office (Excel/Word/Power Point/Microsoft Project).
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, background check and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with overseeing Substations, Transmission, and/or Distribution projects to meet contractual adherence.
• Develop and manage the project budget, financial tracking, and owner billings.
• Develop and maintain the master project schedule.
• Coordinate construction efforts with Management and site supervision.
• Subcontract administration to ensure subcontractors meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage material procurement to support the project schedule and budget.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Change Management
• Quality and productivity of crews and ensure efficient use of materials and equipment.
• Interface with clients, AE representatives, and others on the project site.
• Maintain client relationships to foster long term client satisfaction with IESCI.
• Provide feedback to estimating.

Job Summary
