Job summary

General Parts Group is seeking an Apprentice Field Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment in schools, healthcare facilities, and restaurants. You will receive on-site training and work with a fully equipped service vehicle from home.

The role emphasizes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with opportunities for growth, overtime, and advancement while supporting gas, electric, and steam systems.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical and mechanical engineering and strong troubleshooting skills.
• 2+ years of related experience, education, or military training preferred.
• EPA certification (for refrigeration techs) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Provide service solutions for gas, electric, and steam systems.
• Order and install replacement parts.
• Participate in after-hours & weekend on-call rotations.
