Job summary

General Parts Group is seeking an Apprentice Field Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment in schools, healthcare facilities, and restaurants. The role involves troubleshooting and servicing gas, electric, and steam systems, with hands-on training and room for career advancement.

You will operate a company vehicle, shadow a Lead Technician, and participate in after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience, education, or military training preferred.
• EPA certification (refrigeration techs) is required or preferred when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Provide service solutions for gas, electric, and steam systems.
• Order and install replacement parts.
• Participate in after-hours & weekend on-call rotations.

Now Hiring: Apprentice Field Service Technician

General Parts is looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment in schools, healthcare facilities and restaurants throughout your area. Seeking mechanically inclined individuals with a background in electrical work, HVAC/R & similar trades to apply!

Pay & Benefits:

$20-$25 hourly (based on experience) - We provide hands on training while shadowing a Lead Technician. Our ultimate goal is to help you kick-start your career!

What You'll Do:

What We Need:

• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets our safety standards
• Completion of a criminal background check and drug screen
• 2+ years of related experience, education, or military training preferred
• EPA certification (for refrigeration techs)
• Strong mechanical aptitude & ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18 years of age
