Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A 2 year technical degree or comparable military training is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy equipment or related field.
• Excellent written/oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient with a computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and diagnostic use.

Responsibilities

• Participate in 24-month apprenticeship program with on-the-job training.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and diagnose failures.
• Perform diagnostic checks, pressures and voltages, locate sources of noise or vibration.
• Disassemble, order parts, repair, reassemble and test machine for leaks and readiness.
• Clean parts, prep for assembly and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Travel to job sites and vendor training sessions as needed.
