Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; a 2 year technical degree or comparable military training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the heavy equipment industry or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
• Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and diagnostic software.
• Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to climb to heights of 15 feet.
• Capable of working in all types of weather.
• Self-starter with limited supervision.
• Maintain excellent customer service.
• Must pass background, physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and successfully complete the apprenticeship program (24 months).
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and diagnose failures.
• Perform diagnostic checks, pressures, voltages, and locate noise sources.
• Disassemble, order parts, repair, reassemble and test machines for leaks and readiness.
• Clean parts and prep for assembly.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area.
• Travel to jobsites and training sessions as needed.
