Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking an OE Apprentice to join our union-backed apprenticeship program in Seattle. You will rotate through trades, learn electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, boiler, and building automation skills while taking classes at Renton Technical College.

The four-year apprenticeship is paid, combines hands-on work with classroom instruction, and offers strong union benefits. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications and be prepared for a challenging, structured

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring climbing, bending, and balance.

Responsibilities

• Attend classes at Renton Technical College and maintain passing grades.
• Maintain an on-the-job training record and submit monthly to the union.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to the trade.
• Perform manual labor and other duties as assigned.
• Runs errands and delivers materials and tools as needed.
• Cleans tools and equipment.
• Progress through a four-year apprenticeship program with earned certifications.
• Work under supervision or independently depending on complexity.
