Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking an OE Apprentice to join its IUOE Local 302 program in the Seattle area. This Earn While You Learn program trains participants in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, boiler, and building automation trades while employed by Fred Hutchinson.

During a four-year apprenticeship, you will study at Renton Technical College, complete hands-on work orders, earn wages, and gain valuable licenses and credentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
• Physical ability to climb, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Attend classes at Renton Technical College as required and maintain passing grades.
• Maintain an on-the-job training record and report monthly to the union.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to the trade.
• Perform manual labor associated with the relevant trade.
• Runs errands, carries and delivers materials, tools, and equipment.
• Cleans tools and equipment.
• Performs skilled trade work commensurate with years of apprenticeship.
• Other duties as assigned.
