Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a Technician, a heavy equipment mechanic specializing in cranes. The role covers field maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and safety inspections at customer sites. On-call availability, after-hours work, and occasional travel are required to support 24/7 service demands.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on troubleshooting, with opportunities for training and career growth within a field service environment across branches.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years crane experience in an industrial setting.
• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willing to work off the ground at various heights.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.

Responsibilities

• On-call and provide after-hour services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade cranes and hoists at customer locations.
• Perform OSHA inspections and generate reports and repair orders.
• Coordinate with Service Manager/Branch Manager to schedule work daily.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely and notify supervisor of deficiencies.
• Attend trainings and participate in company programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
