Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Texas is seeking an Apprentice Controls Technician to support build-up and maintenance of data and control systems, including instrumentation, wiring, and harnesses for space-related test hardware. You will lay out and troubleshoot electrical units, perform wire terminations, read schematics, and contribute to safe, economical, and reliable access to space.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in instrumentation, control technology, electrical systems or related field.
• Experience with RTDs, thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters.
• Familiarity with oscilloscope, multimeter, and soldering.
• Knowledge of wiring harnesses and IPC 620 spec is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, configure, monitor, test, troubleshoot, install, and repair instrumentation and control systems
• Investigate, diagnose, correct, and document malfunctions
• Lay out, build, test, repair, and modify electrical and electronic units and harnesses
• Perform wire terminations and verify sensor health
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints
