Job summary

The City of Irvine is seeking a Community Development Field Services Assistant Apprenticeship (Limited Term). The role supports Code Enforcement and Inspection teams, performs field work, and delivers excellent customer service.

The program is grant-funded and aims to provide on-the-job training and professional development in public service. Starting pay is $27.16 per hour with a range up to $42.74 hourly, and a budgeted 14-month term with potential future opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to the Code Enforcement and Inspection teams.
• Perform field work and assist with on-site inspections.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and stakeholders.
• Support in reviewing permits and responding to inquiries.
