Guhring USA is seeking a CNC Tool Grinder Apprentice to launch a career in precision manufacturing. You will learn to manufacture and recondition high-precision tools using multi-axis grinding equipment, under experienced mentors.

This paid apprenticeship covers setup, operation, measurement, blueprint reading, and quality checks, with opportunities for shift progression and long-term growth within a stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong math and problem-solving skills including trig for angles.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn CNC controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with or willingness to learn precision measuring instruments.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, desire to learn a skilled trade.
• Willingness to train on 1st shift and transition to later shifts.

Responsibilities

• Learn CNC tool grinding process from assignments to finished tools.
• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC grinding machines.
• Select grinding wheels and tooling for each job.
• Enter tool specs and machine params into CNC controls.
• Perform first-piece inspections and adjust machines for quality.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify quality and specs.
• Follow safety and quality procedures while developing machining skills.
