Qualifications

• Basic math and problem-solving skills, including basic trigonometry.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn CNC machine controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience using or willingness to learn precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
• Flexibility to train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd or 3rd shift after training.

Responsibilities

• Learn the CNC tool grinding process from reviewing work assignments to producing finished tools.
• Set up and operate advanced multi-axis CNC tool grinding machines.
• Select appropriate grinding wheels and tooling for each job.
• Enter tool specifications and machine parameters into CNC controls.
• Perform first-piece inspections and make adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
• Use precision measuring and testing equipment to verify product quality.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures while developing machining skills.
