Job summary

Guhring USA is seeking a skilled CNC OD Grinder to join our precision machining team in Milwaukee. You will set up and operate CNC grinding machines, perform frequent changeovers for small-batch orders, select wheels and tooling, and inspect parts with precision instruments.

The role requires at least 1 year of CNC setup/operation experience, blueprints reading ability, and strong math skills. Candidates with CNC certificate and experience with major grinder brands are preferred.

Qualifications

• Blueprints, shop drawings, and instructions reading.
• Strong math and trigonometry skills for setup calculations.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and inspection.
• Ability to enter machine programs and production data accurately.
• 1+ year CNC machine setup and operation experience.
• Grinding experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines for precision machining.
• Perform frequent machine changeovers for custom and small-batch orders.
• Select grinding wheels, tooling, and programs; adjust as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Operate multiple machines when production demands require.
• Enter production data and maintain accurate job documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
