Backroad Construction is seeking a dependable Carpenter Apprentice / Helper to join our residential team. You will learn the carpentry trade through hands-on experience, working alongside experienced craftsmen.

This full-time role features a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, 8- or 10-hour shifts, and overtime availability. No weekend work required. Prior carpentry experience is helpful but not required; a strong work ethic and safety mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced carpenters with framing, installation, trim, and other construction tasks
• Help measure, cut, move, and prepare materials
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials
• Help set up and clean up residential job sites
• Learn proper use and care of carpentry tools and equipment
• Follow direction from lead carpenters and help keep projects on schedule
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
