Job summary

PACK Power LLC is seeking a field-support laborer for nationwide high and medium voltage projects. You will assist craft workers, travel between project sites, and help keep sites safe, clean, and efficient.

No extensive experience required, but a willingness to work physically demanding tasks and travel is essential. Join a growing company specializing in renewable, power delivery, and data center markets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0–12 months of related construction experience.
  • Willingness to travel across the US up to 100% and on project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with equipment signaling and alignment tasks on site.
  • Level earth to grade specifications; finish concrete.
  • Assist with installation and connection of pumps, motors, and subsystems.
  • Operate hand tools and basic construction equipment.
  • Travel to different jobsites as needed.

Position Scope

Responsible for assisting with other craft workers in physical labor on jobsites while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient construction site and supporting the overall project.



Location & Travel:

You’ll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build nation-wide medium and/ or high voltage electrical construction projects. This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be onsite at a project location. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You’ll spend 1-10 months on average per project.

Our Medium Voltage Division delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for renewable energy collection systems and medium voltage electrical infrastructure. Our expertise includes collection systems, medium voltage distribution, and substations that efficiently connect renewable generation assets to the electrical grid.



Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures

  • Complete all required Safety documentation

  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement and

  • adjustment of machinery to load, offload, push and pull

  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using shovel or other hand tool

  • Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using float, trowel or screed

  • Position, join, align and connect pumps, motors and other mechanical or metal parts

  • Apply caulking compounds by hand or with caulking gun to seal crevices

  • Grind, sand or polish surfaces such as concrete and steel, using abrasive tools or

  • machines

  • Perform tasks involving use of hands and tools such as torquing/tensioning bolts and

  • studs, assembling metal parts, building bolt cages, vibrating concrete, sawing lumber,

  • dismantling forms, removing forms from concrete, and demolitions, cleanup, use of

  • jackhammers, etc.

  • May be required to install electrical conduit and grounding as well as pull wire through conduit and make wire connections on substation equipment

  • Perform care and maintenance of assigned tools

  • Perform substation labor on construction sites

  • May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice

  • Other duties as assigned



Education and Work Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and zero to twelve months of related experience in construction



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for

  • working toward Safety principles

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to

  • perform these operations using units, weight measurement and volume

  • Understanding of Basic Electrical Systems

  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form

  • Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and

  • Standards
