Job summary

PACK Power, LLC is seeking a USA-based traveling laborer to join our High Voltage division. You’ll work on projects nationwide, performing physical tasks, assisting crew, and supporting installation of electrical infrastructure, with per diem to offset living costs.

This role requires safety-conscious approach, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate hand tools, and communicate clearly with teammates. You may be deployed across states for 1–10 months per project, with opportunities in substations,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of related construction experience.
  • Equipment Operator certifications as required for operated equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all Company safety policies.
  • Assist crew with physical tasks and install materials.
  • Operate hand tools and load materials, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Threading equipment handling and placement of cables/conduit as required.
  • Coordinate machine actions and provide signals to operators/crew members.
  • Maintain clean and safe work locations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report daily.
  • Other duties as assigned by Superintendent or Foreman.

Job description

Responsible for working alongside other craft workers in physical labor on jobsites and potentiallyoperatingvarious typesof equipment whilemaintaininga clean,safeand efficient construction site and supporting the overall project.

Location & Travel:This role offers nationwide opportunities based on project needs. In addition to your hourly pay,you’ll receive a daily per diem toassistwith living expenses while on assignment.

You’ll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team buildnation-widemedium and/ or high voltageelectrical construction projects.This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be onsite at a project location. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US.You’ll spend 1-10 months on average per project.

High Voltage Division:

Our High Voltage Division delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for critical electrical infrastructure across the utility, renewable energy, and industrial markets. Our expertise includes substations, switchyards, and transmission line systems ranging from distribution and medium voltage to extra-high voltage (EHV).

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Promote andcomply withall Company and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to workhands onwith installation andassistcrew members with physical tasks asrequired(i.e.loading reels, fueling equipment, threading equipment,etc).
  • Primarily focusedon the physical aspects ofinstallationprocess. Ensure capabilitiesextend to operating hand tools,lifting upwards of 50lbs, loading materials, handcompacting soil, andassistingin the installation of underground utilities.
  • Assistwith the threading equipment, handling, and placement of cables and/or conduit per project requirements.
  • Clean and prepare work locations toeliminatepotential hazards
  • Haveknowledgeof equipment functions, running, navigating,detectsorassessesproblems, mechanical aptitude, and driving.
  • Gather andmanage materials, consumables,and wasteproductfrom jobsite onto trucks using various pieces of equipment.
  • Ability to hand excavate trenches and remove, fill, or compact native materials
  • Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads,providinghandor audio signalsto operators/crew members.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly,listenand understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
  • Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.
  • Perform maintenance duties such as cleaning,greasingand oilingmachines,maintenance reports filled out daily.
  • Allother duties as assigned by Superintendent or Foreman.
Education and Work Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and six to twelve months of related experience in constructionor equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Equipment Operator certifications asrequiredper equipment beingoperated.
  • ValidDriversLicense
  • CDL Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working towards safety principles.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, ability to perform these operations using units, weightmeasurementand volume.
  • Ability to understand units of force, pressure and torque and applyappropriate toolingadjustments for each.
  • Commonsenseunderstanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written or oral form.
  • Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards.
  • Working knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in structural fills, DOT, and other public and private entities.
  • Workers should be able to work within precise standards of accuracy; follow set procedures and standard, judgedistancesand slopes accurately; and make decisions based on verifiable standards.
