Job summary

Pima County's Assessor's Office seeks an Appraisal Support Specialist to perform paraprofessional work in support of property appraisal activities across divisions. You will research records, update databases and maps, assist on-field appraisals, and help validate tax roll information.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and education as determined by the department head.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized research of records, data collection, and verification, and prepares reports in direct support of appraisal activities
• Utilizes and updates databases, spreadsheets, logs, maps and drawings using computer-aided drafting software
• Performs field work assisting appraisers by measuring structures and updating appraisal records
• Reviews property tax value information and statistical data to ensure accuracy and uniformity
• Verifies valuation of property and tax statements to owners and responds to questions
