You turn warm replies into meetings that happen
This role is simple to explain and hard to do well.
Cold Labs sends cold emails on behalf of marketing agencies. Every day, US business owners and agency founders reply "I'm interested." Most of those replies never become a meeting, because nobody calls fast enough or follows up long enough.
You fix that.
You take over a lead the moment they reply, and you stay with them by phone, text and email until they are sitting in the meeting.
These are not cold calls. Every lead on your list already raised their hand.
You book for two groups:
To be clear: this is not a closing role. You don't sell the service. You get the right person into the meeting, and you make sure they show up.
This is for you if you've booked appointments over the phone, you know your booking and show rates, and a lead left waiting bothers you.
We only serve marketing agencies: Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEO, web design and video production. They're great at getting results for their clients and struggle to get clients for themselves.
Our job is to make cold email their #1 source of new business.
Cold email creates the demand. Follow-up turns it into meetings.
A positive reply goes cold within hours. Most companies answer late, call once or never, and book a fraction of the leads they paid for.
The client sees replies but no meetings, and stops trusting the channel.
You make sure that never happens. Every reply gets an answer within 5 minutes, a call the same day, and seven days of follow-up. Every booked meeting gets confirmed and reminded until it happens.
Answer every positive reply within 5 minutes.
Call the lead twice, leave a voicemail if they don't pick up, and send a text.
Score every lead green, yellow or red. Is it the right company, and how keen are they? Green leads go to the top of your list.
Work the 7-day follow-up. Each step is a task waiting for you: calls, texts and emails at set times, in the lead's own time zone.
You use our reply playbook and the training on each client's offer.
You confirm every meeting to increase the show rate.
Rebook no-shows. Up to 3 tries per lead.
Leave a note after every conversation. The client and our team always know where each lead stands.
Feed the campaigns. You talk to the market every day. The objections, questions and angles you hear go back to the team that writes the campaigns.
You run 3 to 5 client accounts. Each account sends you 3 to 30 new positive replies a day. A new positive reply always jumps the queue.
Start of the day: open each client account, sort your tasks by due time, work green leads first, then yellow.
All day: answer new positive replies within 5 minutes, then work the list. Leave a note after every conversation.
Before you finish: no task overdue, every lead in the right stage, tomorrow's meetings confirmed.
When everything is due at once, work in this order:
A touchpoint is a double-dial, a text and, on most steps, an email. A lead who never answers gets 20 dials, 10 texts and 7 emails over 7 days. Calls happen only inside the lead's working hours, in their local time.
You are judged on meetings that happen, not on activity.
No manual reports. Our system records every call, email and stage change and builds your scorecard. Ticking a task proves nothing: we check the real calls and emails. Everything you do is tagged with your name, so you never share your login.
1. Accent-free English. Non-negotiable. You are on the phone with US business owners and agency founders every day. An American accent is a big advantage.
2. Phone setting experience. You have booked appointments over the phone as a setter, SDR or in inside sales, and you know your numbers.
Speed. A positive reply is worth the most in its first minutes. You answer in minutes, not hours.
Organized at volume. Dozens of live conversations across several accounts, and nobody falls through the cracks.
Persistent without being pushy. Ten touchpoints over seven days, and every one reads like a person, not a sequence.
Resilient. High volume, lots of rejection. A "no" doesn't slow you down.
Clear writing. Short emails and texts in plain English.
You raise the bar. We built a process that works. Bring ideas that book more meetings and get more of them to show.
Bonus: you have sold to marketing agencies or B2B founders.
Degrees or certificates. We don't care about them.
Closing experience. You book the meeting. The client or our founder runs it.
Your own software. We provide every tool you use.
Who This Is NOT For
If a positive reply can sit for an hour without bothering you, don't apply.
If you need someone to remind you to follow up, this isn't the role. The tasks are in front of you. Doing them is the job.
If you would tick a task you didn't do. We check the real calls and emails, and we will end the relationship.
If you want a fixed salary. Most of what you earn comes from meetings that happen.
If you can't work US Eastern hours.
Base + commission. Most of your pay comes from meetings that happen.
We share the exact numbers on the screening call.
This is a new department, and we promote from within. The first setters set the standard. The best of them will train and lead the setters who join after them.
Location and Hours
Our core values are the heart and soul of this company. The right person for this role will appreciate each of these values, personally subscribe to them, and understand why each is critical to having a great business.
01
Do the Boring Work
We get paid to do what others are too lazy to do, at a higher standard than they can. We finish what we start. No half-done tasks, no open loops.
02
Own the Outcome
If it touches you, it’s your responsibility. We say: "Here’s what went wrong, here’s what I’m doing to fix it." We stay with problems until they’re resolved.
03
Leverage Before Motion
Working hard on the wrong thing is worse than not working. We ask: "What is the real bottleneck?", and "What is the highest-leverage move right now?")
04
Speed with Precision
Once we know the leverage point, we move fast and clean. We make decisions quickly, then test in small, fast iterations.
05
Build in Public
If we fail, we fail in public and learn. If we win, we win in public and repeat. Our workday is visible to everyone on the team.
06
Brutal Honesty, Kind Delivery
Truth first, ego second. We give each other honest feedback, especially when it’s uncomfortable. We critique the work, not the person.
