Job description

You run a subscription software business like it's your own. Find the customers, design the product they keep paying for, and grow recurring revenue, with a team of people and agents.

Why this role exists

We stopped writing code by hand. A working version of an app now takes days, not months. What hasn't sped up is the time it takes a real customer to try something and tell you the truth about it.

So the bottleneck moved from technical to human. Shipping fast is no longer an advantageif you don't know what's worth shipping. We wrote that down as Delivering Clarity ,and it's how we build companies with founders.

Today our founder does this job on every product we run. We're hiring someone to do it instead. Not a product manager who writes tickets. Not an engineer who waits for a spec.A general manager who can sit across from a CEO, decide what to build, and then build something beautiful.

The business you'll run

Software that businesses and people pay for every month. A funnel that turns a trial or a demo into a paying customer, onboarding that gets them to value fast, and a product they renew without thinking about it.

  • Customers. Talk to buyers and users every week. Find what they'll pay for, what they won't, and what makes them leave.
  • The funnel. Trial or demo to paid. Onboarding, activation, time to first value. Find the leak, fix it, measure it.
  • Recurring revenue. Pricing and packaging, annual recurring revenue, churn, and expansion. The number that compounds.
  • The pipeline. Product-led or sales-led, and the marketing that fills it. You know which one fits the product and the price.
  • The product. The app itself. Web and mobile, beautiful, fast, and built so the first session sells the second month.

The number you're hired to move: net revenue retention, and the trial-to-paid conversion that feeds it.

What you'll do
  • Design great apps in record time. Web and mobile, built on Rails, Swift, and Kotlin. Beautiful enough that people notice, solid enough to hold up in production and the app stores.
  • Design for the person using it. Every screen, every tap, every empty state. The experience is yours. If it feels wrong, you fix it.
  • Deliver customer value every day. Not at the end of a sprint. Something a customer can use, every day, that answers something they said.
  • Lead a team of people and agents. Sales, marketing, mobile, backend, database, and AI. Some of your team are people. Some are agents. You give both a clear brief and hold both to the result.
  • Keep the CEO and the investors aligned on how digital products get built now. You're the person in the room who knows, and can say so.
  • Deliver clarity for our customers. Every cycle ends with a decision about what to build next, backed by what a customer said and did.
Who you are
  • You design beautiful apps. You have taste, you have opinions about how a mobile app should look and work, and you can show us apps you've designed and shipped.
  • You build. Deep enough in Rails and native iOS and Android to make things other teams say can't be done in the time. With Claude Code, Cursor, or whatever gets a working version into a customer's hands fastest.
  • You're business focused. You understand how a company makes money, across more than one industry, and you build toward that number.
  • You're understanding funnels and sales pipelines. You've managed one, found where it was leaking, and moved conversion. You know which lever to pull and when.
  • You can go toe to toe with a CEO. And an investor. You hold your ground on how products get built, and you keep them aligned without losing them.
  • You manage agents and projects, not just code. You've run work across sales, marketing, mobile, backend, and AI, with people and agents doing it, and kept it all moving.
  • You work independently and stay focused. Nobody is going to check on you daily. You decide what matters today, do it, and show the result.
  • Your own life has clarity. You can't deliver clarity to a founder if you don't have it yourself. We want someone who is well, grounded, and good to work with.
What this isn't
  • A product manager role where you write tickets and someone else builds.
  • An engineering role where you wait for requirements and code by hand.
  • A project manager role where you track other people's work and never ship your own.
  • An account manager role. You're in the room with the CEO, not relaying messages to one.
How we work
Talk before you build

Every engagement starts with customer conversations, run with the founder, before a line of code. We find what people will pay for first.

Build the smallest thing that works

A real app, in weeks, built to hold up in production and the app stores. Not a prototype that breaks the day after the demo.

Show, don't ask

We don't ask customers what to build. We put a working version in front of them and watch what they do with it.

Not a feature. A decision about what to build next, backed by what a customer said and did.

Show us recurring revenue you grew and the funnel behind it

The application asks for apps you've shipped, recurring revenue you've grown or churn you've cut, a pipeline you've fixed, and a CEO you kept aligned. Links beat descriptions.
