CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Appointment Scheduler to be the first point of contact for patients, coordinating schedules and guiding them through the care process with empathy and accuracy.

You will manage appointment bookings, perform pre-certifications to verify coverage, schedule tests and referrals, and collect necessary patient data and co-pays, ensuring clear instructions and smooth workflow for diverse populations.

Qualifications

• High School GED/General Studies or equivalent upon hire.
• 2 years related experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Answer calls and schedule patient appointments.
• Conduct pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and care.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
• Communicate with patients about appointments and instructions for procedures/tests.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Appointment Scheduler, you will be the crucial first point of contact, connecting our patients with the expert care they need, playing a pivotal role in their healthcare journey.Every day, you will expertly manage patient schedules, clarify instructions, and leverage technology to ensure seamless care coordination, all while offering compassionate support to diverse patient populations.To be successful in this role, you will combine strong clinical understanding with exceptional technological proficiency, a deep commitment to patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on learning and collaboration.

• Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.
• Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests
• Collect insurance information and patient personal data.
• May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance.
