Job summary

Amazon's Prime Video Personalization and Discovery team is seeking an Applied Scientist to own ML-driven personalization solutions across devices. You will be hands-on with models from ground up, guiding research and delivering impact for millions of customers.

You'll experiment with cutting-edge techniques, publish findings, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to ship production-ready AI solutions at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s degree and 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions for Prime Video personalization systems using deep learning, GenAI, reinforcement learning, and optimization methods.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch AI solutions end-to-end.
• Design and conduct offline and online experiments to evaluate proposed solutions with in-depth data analyses.
• Communicate technical ideas effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and modeling techniques in the field.
• Publish research findings in top conferences and journals.
