Amazon Science is seeking an Applied Scientist to shape the future of Prime Video by applying state-of-the-art NLP and computer vision research to video-centric media. You will own end-to-end product, UX, design, and technology to deliver cutting-edge experiences for customers.

Ideal candidates have expertise in vision-language models, long-form content understanding, and architectures handling long contexts across extended temporal sequences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s + 4+ years in CS/CE/ML.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.
• Experience developing deep learning algorithms, particularly with computer vision

Responsibilities

• Build multi-modal ML technologies to enrich and understand video content.
• Advance video understanding and search capabilities for Prime Video.
• Collaborate with the Content Localization, Understanding & Enrichment teams.
