Job summary

Amazon Science seeks an Applied Scientist for Prime Video to own end-to-end machine learning solutions for personalized experiences across devices. You will build and guide models from ground up, collaborating with product managers and engineers to ship value to millions of customers worldwide.

You will lead hands-on ML work and contribute to research and production systems, publishing findings and advancing state-of-the-art techniques in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• 5+ years building ML models for business applications.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and ML.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems like Hadoop, Spark.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions for Prime Video personalization using DL, GenAI, RL, and optimization.
• Work closely with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch AI solutions end-to-end.
• Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate solutions based on data analyses.
• Effectively communicate technical and non-technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field.
• Publish research findings in top conferences and journals.
