Job summary

CcrowdStrike is seeking an Applied Scientist II to join our team and advance ML models for cost attribution and cloud efficiency. You will work with large-scale cloud usage and financial data, designing experiments and collaborating with engineers to deploy models.

You will analyze requirements with business partners and senior scientists, build scalable ML solutions, and help monitor model performance over time to drive cost optimization and accountability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, training, and evaluating machine learning models (classification, clustering, anomaly detection, or regression) applied to structured business or financial data.
• Proficiency in Python and common ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed data processing tools (e.g., Spark, Pandas at scale).
• Familiarity with SQL and querying data from relational databases.
• Understanding of statistics, probability, and experimental design.
• Exposure to time-series forecasting techniques for cost or usage prediction.

Responsibilities

• Be an energetic self-starter with ownership for deliverables.
• Collaboratively brainstorm, define, and build ML solutions to attribute cloud costs and resource use to teams/products.
• Analyze requirements with internal partners and translate into modeling problems for cost allocation, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Design, run, and evaluate experiments to validate model accuracy in attributing costs.
• Help productionize models and monitor performance and accuracy over time.
• Report regularly on project status.
