Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist II to advance traffic and network modeling for AWS. Qualifications

3+ years of building models for business application experience.
PhD, or Master's degree with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML.
Publications or patents at top-tier venues preferred.
Proficiency in Java, C++, Python (or similar).
Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel/distributed computing, HPC.

Responsibilities

Drive hypothesis-driven research to inform business and product decisions for network traffic modeling.
Build production systems delivering low-latency forecast predictions and scalable throughput.
Own projects end-to-end from needs gathering to long-term impact.
Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring.
