Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist for the Sponsored Products and Brands team to advance generative AI across ads and shopping experiences.

You will own the science lifecycle from research to production, build multimodal models, run online experiments, and collaborate with engineers, product, and design.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead science initiatives from problem framing through production deployment in a high-ambiguity environment.
• Develop and deploy models spanning computer vision, language, and search and retrieval that operate on multimodal inputs at scale.
• Design and analyze large-scale online experiments to measure impact on shopper and advertiser outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to ship science into production.
