Job summary

Amazon Science is seeking an engineer to rapidly configure, design, analyze, prototype, and test innovative drone vehicles for Prime Air. You will develop and maintain multi-disciplinary optimization tools and support wind tunnel testing, working closely with the Office of the Chief Program Engineer and across vehicle subsystems.

Ideal candidates have strong background in aerospace engineering, proficiency in C/C++, Python, Java or Perl, and experience with flight vehicle design, simulation, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, physics, with 7+ years experience.
Proficiency with flight vehicle design, simulation, and development.
Programming languages C/C++, Python, Java or Perl.

Responsibilities

Develop, improve, and maintain a suite of multi-disciplinary optimization (MDO) tools across all aircraft design disciplines.
Prototype vehicle designs and support wind tunnel and other testing.
Coordinate across vehicle subsystem teams to ensure integrated designs meeting performance, reliability, operability, manufacturing, and cost requirements.
