Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering relevant to the area.
• Level I–VI require progressively more experience in engineering and research practices.
• Substitutions allowed for education or experience as described in the posting.
• Professional engineer licensure may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of research and development projects applying engineering practices and principles.
• Operate, maintain, and repair specialized equipment.
• Advise faculty, postdocs, students, and staff on design, modification, and analysis.
• Design and fabricate parts and systems using engineering principles.
• Perform materials characterization and failure analysis.
• Ensure supplies are available and equipment is operational for projects.
• Evaluate project outcomes to develop new concepts, equipment, or processes.
• Develop proposals, budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
• Prepare technical reports for projects.
• Serve as point of contact with sponsors and industry partners.
• Participate in strategic planning and roadmap development for NCAME.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering relevant to the area of research
