Job summary

The Mosaic Company invites applications for the Applied Process Technology (APT) Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027 at the FishHawk site in Lithia, FL. The program runs May 10, 2027 to August 20, 2027 with full-time, in-person work (9/80 schedule if applicable) and housing/relocation support for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Junior level or above by Jan/May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining or industrial Engineering.
• 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license; travel to sites may be required.
• Full-time status as a student during the co-op/internship.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative engineering projects and improvement activities across Mosaic concentrate and mining processes, including development of entirely new processes.
• Complete feasibility studies on new technology that could provide a step change improvement to aspects of mining and concentrate processing, and product development.
• Actively engage with various levels of personnel, including operations, engineering, and functional groups to share learnings and build collaborative networks.
• Participate and direct research activities in both laboratory and full-scale industrial operations.
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
• Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
