Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking an Applied Mathematician or Applied Physicist to join the NSWCDD Dahlgren, VA team. You will design and execute automated and manual tests, tying them to requirements, collaborating with developers and government customers, and supporting test artifacts from DOORS/Jira/Azure DevOps.

A Secret clearance and on-site work are required. Requirements include 2+ years in applied math/physics, software testing experience, C++ familiarity, Linux usage, and strong

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional applied mathematics or applied physics experience in support of engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied directly to requirements
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level)
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS, Jira, and other tools
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate closely with developers for rapid resolution
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities
• Interface directly and professionally with government customers daily
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation
