Job summary

Walla Walla Community College is accepting applications for a part-time Applied English Adjunct Assistant Professor to support vocational English courses across campus locations and online.

We are building a standing pool for the 2026-2027 academic year and encourage remote/alternative formats as needed to reach adult learners. Applications reviewed continuously; start dates vary with quarterly schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English; remote work eligible with WA/OR/ID/CA/IL/NE/NV/PA/TX.
• Minimum two years of college-level teaching experience.
• Eligible for remote work with multiple WWCC campuses including online offerings.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes at the scheduled time and place.
• Provide a comprehensive syllabus at the beginning of the quarter.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain student records and LMS grades.
• Be available for a minimum of one office hour per week.
• Review and update program textbooks, materials, and technology.
• Utilize available technology to support student learning.
