Job summary

Elwyn seeks an Applied Behavior Specialist (ABS) to provide intensive behavioral assessment and implement behavior support plans for individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome or other complex disorders within a Community Residential Services setting.

The ABS will apply ABA-derived strategies, work with the clinical team, collect data, and help residents develop daily living skills in a structured environment, ensuring safety and progress toward goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or a closely related field, or Associates/60 college credits with three years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors preferred.
• Experience implementing ABA strategies preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintains CPR/First Aid/MED administration/crisis intervention certifications per protocols.
• Must have a valid driver's license and two years driving experience in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision for persons served at CRS’ behavioral program site as determined by program management.
• Provides behavior assessment and BSP implementation services to residents.
• Applies ABA-derived treatment strategies and protocols.
• Attends ongoing trainings and keeps certifications up to date.
• Collects data on behavior plans and outcomes.
• Works with individuals on daily living skills in a structured environment.
• Implements recreational activities and maintains documentation and logs.
• Coordinates transportation needs as applicable.
• Responds to emergencies, conducts CPR/first aid, and supports safety protocols.
• Records daily census and progress notes; reports incidents as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
